The Nashville branch of XO Communications hosted its 4th-annual golf tournament on Sept. 23 at the Hermitage Golf Club in Hermitage, Tenn. XO donated proceeds from this tournament directly to Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, totaling $7,000 for JA's classroom programs. Eighty golfers teed off in a scramble tourney competing for prestigious prizes, including $1,000,000, a LandRover2, an EBBTIDE, and travel vouchers, among others.
XO hosted the tournament for its customers and suppliers and wanted the competition to benefit Junior Achievement. Dawnn Callis, Assistant to the Regional Vice President of XO, said, "JA is our charity of choice; we do what we can for Junior Achievement."
Sponsors for this event included: AVAYA, Ciena, Digital Connections, FocusOne, Nationlink Wireless, Peak 10 and Rezults Technology. Other organizations contributing to the tournament include Andrews Cadillac, Performance Marina and Nevada Bob’s Golf.
