We are hitting the beach for a Luau on the Lanes at the 25th Annual Bowl-a-Thon!
Support Junior Achievement in a bowling center near you! If you like to help kids, win prizes, and have fun, this is the event for you. Junior Achievement's Bowl-a-Thon is all about building commaraderie with co-workers, family members, friends, and vendors while winning prizes and having a great time.
The Bowl-a-Thon consists of bowlers (and their families) from local companies getting pledges and bowling for a two-hour period to raise money for JA programs. The dollars generated by this event help provide in-school education programs for 30,000 students in Kindergarten through twelfth grades throughout Middle Tennessee.
Each Bowl-a-Thon team consists of five team members. Each bowler's goal is to raise $125, which will provide a packet of JA program materials and a trained volunteer for one classroom of area students. Don't worry if you're not the world's greatest bowler...most of the 1,500 participants are local business people like you, getting together with co-workers to have fun and raise funds for a great cause - educating our children!
Since the Bowl-a-Thon is a major source of fundraising for Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, joining a team means you're playing a crucial role in helping kids learn about the importance of staying in school and how business works.
But even if your company doesn't participate with a team, there are other ways you can contribute to the Bowl-a-Thon. Your company could provide gifts-in-kind to be given away at the event as door prizes. Or maybe you would be interested in providing some promotional items from your company to be given as gifts to bowlers. Contact Laura Buchanan for additional information or to discuss bowling with us!
