RULES FOR PLAY

• Every corporate team of four members will begin with $500,000

• Teams are able to purchase additional stock at a rate of $20 for $20,000, $40 for $50,000, $75 for $120,000, or $100 for $200, 000 worth of extra trading dollars.  Additional stock purchased may be done at any time between Days 1 and 59 at any of the printing stations.  We will be pleased to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, checks or cash. 

• Fictitious company names, call letters and a brief description are provided to enable teams to identify the 26 stocks available.  Please note that each company’s name begins with a different letter of the alphabet.

• Video screens will provide the following information:  Team Net Worth, Daily Stock Prices, Trading Days from 1 to 50 and Graphical Depictions of Stock Performance.

• To track your portfolio of companies easily, we suggest that you buy and sell shares in even lots, i.e. by 1000 shares of Company A or $10,000 worth of Company A shares.  Account statements may be obtained from any of the printing stations.

• Team members should make trading decision collectively.

• All trades made after the initial stock picks at pre-registration will be subject to a trading commission of 1.25%.

• All proceeds of The Fifth Third Bank Stock Market Challenge go to benefit Junior Achievement.

• Trading will commence with the ringing of the bell, continue for approximately 40 minutes at which time there will be a 10-minute break.  Trading will re-commence for another 40 minutes and finish at the ringing of the bell.

• Won't CRASH under pressure
• Share a common desire to beat their competitors
• Are looking for a great evening of fun, friends and entertainment
• Want to support the worthwhile programs of Junior Achievement
