Dear Volunteer,

Thank you so much for your participation with Junior Achievement; you are an integral part of the success of JA and the many students you inspire, teach, and encourage.  This year, JA will be using the Pre- and Post-Test data to establish quantitative and qualitative data detailing the effectiveness of JA Programs.  You are such an important part of this study and we appreciate your help in propelling this endeavor.  To help you, we’ve created a check list to guide you through distribution and collection of the pre- and post-tests. 

-    Print out enough copies of the NEW version of the pre- and post-tests from the JA website: http://www.janash.com/tests

-    Distribute and be sure to circle “pre-test” before any lessons have begun.  For this round of the test the students will only need to fill out the Knowledge Questions

o       Please be sure to check that the student has filled in the Student Information section with the 1) the first three letters of his/her last name, 2) the moth, day, and year of birth, 3) current grade, and 4) the students previous experience with JA

-    Collect the tests

-    At the conclusion of the program distribute and be sure to circle “post-test.”  Again, they will need to fill out all of the Student Information and Knowledge Questions.  Additionally, they will need to fill out the attitudinal section that’s marked as “Post-Test Only” with 1) checking “yes,” “no,” or “don’t know” for questions A-H, 2) whether they would recommend the program to a friend, and 3) listing two important things they learned from the program.

-    Collect the tests

-    Mail both the pre- and post-tests to:

o       Be sure that you’ve included the name of the school, teacher, and volunteer
